Description

I have been a state-certified Child Development Specialist since 2019. I have worked in various social services (MECS, CADA, LVA) and medical-social settings (FH), and I pay special attention to children and adolescents in the care of Child Welfare Services who have had challenging life experiences and are often referred to as “unplaceable” .”

I’ve had professional experiences that didn’t align with my commitment to social work, which led me to reflect on continuing in this field—but in a different way!

Today, I’ve decided to take a different path to continue doing what I do best: supporting young people as they navigate their difficult life journeys.

After completing projects, brainstorming new initiatives, finalizing others, and continuing to develop plans—all while reflecting on my professional future—I realized it would be a shame for just the two of us to enjoy all this space, and that sharing, exchange, selflessness, and welcoming those in need would complete the tapestry we had begun to weave.

Who am I?!

I am an empathetic, open-minded, patient, and attentive person. I am also very thorough and organized in my personal life and work, but I know how to take the time and step back as needed to assess a complex situation—even if that means letting go of what I had planned beforehand!

I am a tolerant, respectful, and caring person who will welcome others without judgment and respect the pace and boundaries of the person I’m supporting.

I can analyze a situation, defuse a complicated situation, build trust by listening attentively, and organize activities tailored to the person’s needs. I’ll be able to write a report and share the information needed to ensure continuity in the care of the young person in my care. I’ll reach out to professionals with any questions and, in my reflections, offer a “different perspective” if needed!
