Description

The story of Le Clos Giot is one of a return to our roots, born of the vagaries of life. In 2015, after the death of my mother, I decided to leave the hustle and bustle of Paris, where I'd been living for 17 years, andstubbornly set about rehabilitating this home in the heart of the splendid region that has always fascinated me.

First, I renovated a very old barn, partly dating from the 15th century, into a character gîte, then the chalet took its place under the trees and finally the loft, open in July and August. And so Clos Giot was born (a name borrowed from the clos behind the house).

My dream was simple: to create a refuge for travelers, a place where the hustle and bustle of the city is silenced, leaving only the essentials. No superfluous or superficial here!

A small cottage has even nestled among the trees, offering a cozy cocoon for couples in search of privacy and tranquility.

In parallel, we keep a number of Norman conservation breeds, including Avranchin sheep, Normandy geese, Blanc de Hotot rabbits, Normands and Rouen ducks.

A large, constantly evolving garden is Bruno's experimental area. Two greenhouses are used to grow vegetables, which we can, freeze and process. We have apple trees, pear trees, quince trees, 1 medlar tree, plum trees, 1 apricot tree, 1 peach tree, blackcurrants and redcurrants for home-made jams, sold in the gîtes.

We also sell apple juice, cider, pommeau, eggs and fruit and vegetables directly from the farm, depending on the season.

The surrounding fields allow the sheep to turn and produce hay.
