Hello!

My name is Laura. I’m originally from Brittany and I live with my partner Simon and our two daughters, Sélina and Enola (5 and 2 years old), in a small village in southern Manche (Mortainais area), Normandy. We’ve been living here for 5 years, after 15 years of travelling and working internationally in the hospitality industry.

Our place is very peaceful, located at the end of a dead-end road, with 3 hectares of land around the house, right in the heart of the Normandy bocage.

In February 2024, we created a small organic farm focused on plant production. In spring, we run a small nursery where we produce vegetable seedlings, aromatic and medicinal herbs, and edible flowers. From February to May, we sow, propagate, take cuttings and transplant a wide variety of plants, always working with the seasons and respecting nature.

From June to September, we harvest red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, currants, blackberries, gooseberries). We sell them directly and also welcome people for pick-your-own sessions. What we don’t sell fresh, we transform into jams, coulis and baked goods. Simon is a trained chef with 15 years of experience and enjoys sharing his skills.

We are certified organic and work exclusively with direct sales.

Since August 2025, we have also been running a small farm campsite and are labelled Accueil Paysan and Accueil Vélo.

We love sharing, learning and creating together. I am trilingual and enjoy welcoming people from all over the world and introducing them to local food and culture.

On the land, you’ll also find a small orchard (1 hectare) of local apple and pear varieties, planted in 2023, as well as beehives managed by a young and passionate beekeeper who is happy to share his knowledge (and honey!).

Food is very important to us: we offer tasty, mainly vegetarian meals, using organic and local ingredients. We can adapt to special diets if needed. When we eat meat, it is organic and mostly local. We no longer eat fish.

Accommodation for WWOOFers:

We offer light accommodation (caravan, dome, gypsy wagon, tent, or van if you have one). From May to September, light accommodation is mostly reserved for campsite guests, but outside high season we also have a comfortable guest room. A bathroom with shower and dry toilets is available.

In winter, activities are more focused on pruning, orchard maintenance and farm administration.

The nearest train station is in Vire, and we can pick you up.

Couples or friends travelling together are very welcome (everything is better shared!). aximum 2 at the time and for 1 month

Bonus: waterfalls, beautiful walks, local museums, forests and rock climbing spots are all nearby.
