In short
Description
Hello,
My name is Laura, and I'm originally from Brittany.
We've been living with my partner Simon and our 2 daughters Sélina and Enola (aged 5 and 2) in a small commune in the south of La Manche, in the Mortainais region of Normandy, for the past 5 years (after having spent 15 years working in the hotel and restaurant business internationally).
We have 2 cats, a henhouse and lots of great people around us.
(We have a small cattle and/or goat breeding project, for which Simon is currently studying for a BPREA diploma in June 2026), but that's for 2027 minimum!
The house is located at the end of a dead-end road (no busy roads) on 3 hectares of land surrounding the house. Quiet and ideally located in the Normandy bocage.
In February 2024, we created a farm focused on plant production.
In spring, we produce vegetable garden plants in a small nursery.
From February to May, we sow, propagate, take cuttings and transplant a varied list of vegetable plants, aromatic and medicinal plants and flowers, all edible. We are committed to enhancing the value of the vegetable garden, producing healthy food, taking the time to understand nature and adapting to the seasons.
Certified organic, we only sell direct.
We sell our plants in May and June to private individuals, parent-teacher associations, AMAPs, biocoops and a few local markets and fairs.
From June to September, we grow and harvest red fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, blackberries and gooseberries), which we also sell direct. We also offer pick-your-own slots.
What we don't sell directly, we process (jams, coulis, cakes, etc.) Simon has 15 years' experience as a cook, so he has very good technical knowledge.
We also opened a camping site on the farm in August 2025, and have just been awarded the "Accueil Paysan" and "Accueil vélo" labels, offering a dome, a caravan, a family caravan and this year in 2026 a tiny house.
I'm trilingual and I love welcoming people and helping them discover the local produce.
We've made our land available to a young beekeeper, so you'll be able to see a good dozen hives on the site (he's a passionate beekeeper who'll be happy to pass on his knowledge!), and of course you'll be able to taste the honey on site.
In 2023, we planted a 1-hectare orchard with double grafted, high-stemmed, local apple and pear varieties. In autumn, we harvest these fruits, which we transform into compotes, juices and more.
Our meals are varied, tasty and mainly vegetarian. We can adapt to any special diet if necessary. We only eat organic and mainly local meat. We no longer eat fish.
We offer woofers a light habitat (caravan, dome, caravan or tent) or van if they have one. From May to September, light accommodation is reserved for camping tourists, although we do have a guest room which is quite suitable out of high season. We know how to adapt and we want everyone to feel at home in their own environment.
A sanitary block is available with a shower and dry toilet.
In winter, I devote my time to bookkeeping, pruning and maintaining the fruit trees.
Would you like to :
- connect with the earth
- learn, share, create
- get involved in a project that's human-scale, ecological and joyful, then you've come to the right place!
The nearest train station is in Vire.
Bonus: there are 2 waterfalls in the village next door, making for very pleasant walks.
The ceramics and perry museums are nearby. LA fosse Arthour is a great place for forest walks or rock climbing.
We look forward to welcoming you.

How to get here?
To get there by bike, depending on whether you're coming from Mont-Saint-Michel or Domfront, you can take the following routes:
- From Mont-Saint-Michel: Follow the voie verte towards Saint Hilaire-du-Harcouët. At Milly, join the D47, which you follow for 7km to La Denisière. See on Maps.
- From Domfront (or Paris) : Follow the voie verte towards Mortain-Bocage. Exit at Saint-Jean-du-Corail, then take the D47 towards Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët for 5km to La Denisière. See on Maps.
- From Mortain (or for a safer route, advisable with children, from Domfront as well as from Mont Saint-Michel), you can also take the Véloscénie to the D601, then follow it to the D47 for about 5km, where you'll be close to the farm. See on Maps.
