Description

My name is Célestine. I'm a state-qualified specialized educator and farm manager with a diploma in market gardening. In Saint-Jans-Cappel, I've created a place where these two professions meet naturally, in the service of people and life.

Here, the welcome begins with letting go, with a feeling of well-being. Being outside, in all weathers, is an integral part of the experience: the cold when you're well covered, the rain protected by a good coat, the sun that you let in to fill up on vitamins. The farm is an open, living space, rooted in reality.

For me, welcoming means sharing, transmitting and working together. It means inviting people to be curious, to relax, to learn without pressure, to daydream sometimes, to meet others. Everyone comes with what they are, and each brings something to the others. Exchanges take place simply and naturally.

If the link between my two professions cannot be summed up in a clear definition, it is a daily reality. The way I look at things as an educator feeds into the way I welcome people to the farm, and working the land is a constant reminder of what's essential: simplicity, respect for rhythms, concrete things. Farming connects me to nature and the very roots of our existence; education connects me to people, their choices and their development.

People come here to recharge their batteries. To take time, to breathe, to reconnect with oneself, with others and with nature, in a place that is simple, sincere and profoundly human.
