Description

A resource centre amidst the enchanting woods of the Barguillère, a valley of a thousand springs

Like a small temple clinging to the mountain, the hamlet of Bardol surprises with its labyrinth of staircases, terraced gardens, cool nooks and crannies around the ponds, and the continuous song of the river.

Staying at the "Casalou" gîte is first and foremost about slowing down, disconnecting and recharging your batteries to the rhythm of the seasons, in a stone hamlet and green setting where a few humans and many animals live together :)

An ideal place to meditate alone, make new life choices, work on a writing project or an artistic activity, or cocoon for two, enjoy hectic board game evenings, cool off in the river or hike the many trails of the Barguillière valley.

On the edge of the forest, this little stone house has a fully-equipped kitchen with a wood-burning stove for those long winter evenings, and a large, bright and quiet bedroom upstairs (bed 160x200) with a small desk and an east-facing balcony for breakfasts in the sun. Outside, in the immediate vicinity, you'll find dry toilets and a small south-facing garden for eating outside on sunny days.

Marine, Jean and Noé welcome you to their atypical little farm. By prior arrangement, we can offer a "table paysanne" with fresh produce from the garden. We'll soon be offering tours of the "lo casal penjat" leaning garden.
