Welcoming people and meeting new people have been part of our daily lives since we set up in 2001.
After a few years as a salaried employee, with lots of contacts, our new job as breeders, with a herd of dairy cows, meant we couldn't bring ourselves to isolate ourselves …
Our eco-responsible and farming commitments
The cottage is located near a farm that has been practicing organic farming since 1998. We do everything we can to minimize our impact on the environment and promote biodiversity.
We maintain a network of natural meadows and hedgerows,
Our animals graze as much as possible and eat only what we produce on the farm; we take good care of them
We maintain existing hedgerows and plant new ones.
All heating (for the guesthouse and our home) and domestic hot water production (for our home and the milking parlor) are powered by a wood chip boiler fueled by wood from our hedgerows. For the guesthouse, for simplicity’s sake regarding sanitation and administrative procedures, we use tap water.
We have been Enercoop customers for over 15 years,
The cleaning products provided are eco-friendly; we prioritize washable and reusable items (cloths rather than disposable sponges...)

How to get here?
We are located in the Orne department, 13 km from Mortagne-au-Perche, 16 km from Bellême, and 30 km east of Alençon. From Paris, it’s about a 2-hour drive west!
It’s also possible to take the train and bring your bike; from the Condé-sur-Huisne train station (Paris–Le Mans line), a bike path leads right to us! Other nearby train stations include Nogent-le-Rotrou and L’Aigle. Buses will take you close, but none will bring you right to our location!

Territory description
Two hours west of Paris, in the Perche Regional Nature Park, 25 km from Alençon, 14 km from Mortagne-au-Perche, and 14 km from Bellême on the D7 (the Le-Mêle-sur-Sarthe - Bellême route). You’ll be in a wooded countryside setting, peaceful yet not too isolated. Nearby, you’ll find remarkable trees, lovely woods and deciduous forests, charming villages, and a network of secondary roads and rural paths.
If it rains, you can either gear up to walk in the rain after a good meal (we have some great restaurants!), take the opportunity to visit a few museums, or simply stay in to read or play by the fireplace...
If it’s very hot, you can head into the forest, go for a swim, or enjoy the coolness of the cottage’s ground floor!

Pour les randonneurs, les cyclotouristes ou les voyageurs à cheval, nous proposons plusieurs chambres partagées. Un panier repas est proposé le soir, et un petit déjeuner est servi le matin. Dans chaque chambre, il y a deux lits séparés. La maison dispose de deux salles de bains et d'une salle dédié à la pratique du yoga et de la méditation.
