Description

If you're looking for a quiet, authentic break, this is the place to be, on our organic dairy farm!

On an organic dairy farm, nestled in an oasis of greenery, lovely, cheerful and spacious stone cottage with magnificent central-heating wood-burning stove and oven! Electric stove and oven, multi-function food processor with soup blender/plunger, steam cooker, raclette and fondue set, numerous cake moulds, recipe books With numerous board games, toys, puzzles, flat-screen TV, hi-fi system. Beds made for your arrival! We'll make sure your arrival goes smoothly. Meals and breakfasts available on reservation.

If you've always wanted to stay in an unusual accommodation, we also have a fully-equipped gypsy caravan for 2 people.

We look forward to giving you a warm and friendly welcome to our exceptional setting, and to sharing our love of dairy farming on our working organic farm.

Our eco-responsible and farming commitments

We raise a local breed of cow, the Normande, to produce organic milk, with a grassland system, valued 10 km away in a small dairy, which makes 3 of the 4 Normandy PDO cheeses, Camembert, Livarot and Pont Levêque. We also grow herbs and vegetables in a permaculture garden.

We have chosen Gournay Normandy breed chickens.

The caravan is insulated, with Douglas-fir for the exterior, natural zinc for the roof, and pine for the interior fittings. It is equipped with dry toilets, and selective sorting is in place for all rentals and for the farm.

Wood-fired heating is the main mode of heating for the gîte, as well as for our home. We have equipped the gîte and the roulotte as we would for ourselves, with objects and furniture from the circular economy, except for the bedding! (recycling center, garage sale, donation and second-hand sales site...).

The wood is produced on the farm, with sustainable management for the significant linear present on the farm,

We regularly carry out reforestation plans.

We have several partnerships with different environmental organizations for the creation of habitats for wildlife (micro and macro fauna). Partnership with AMAPs, creation of a multi-producer association to market local agricultural produce, consumption of local and seasonal produce...

However, the children remain under the responsibility of the adults accompanying them, so that the stay

How to get here?

We are 20 minutes from Argentan

Argentan train station, Paris Montparnasse/Le Mans line.

By car, take the Argentan/Flers road (D924) towards Rânes at the Fromentel crossroads.

To get to the roulotte, follow the roulotte signs once you're in the village. For the gîte, go to the farm at the end of the dead-end road and you're there.

Our farm is located at the end of an 800m long dead-end road, an oasis of greenery, rich in wild flora and fauna.

During your stay, you'll enjoy the rejuvenating calm of an authentic setting. You'll be able to discover the activities of the farm, including milking, calves and the henhouse.
