La Ferme Buissonnière

We raise a local breed of cow, the Normande, to produce organic milk, with a grassland system, valued 10 km away in a small dairy, which makes 3 of the 4 Normandy PDO cheeses, Camembert, Livarot and Pont Levêque. We also grow herbs and vegetables in a permaculture garden.

We have chosen Normandy Gournay hens.

The caravan is made of Douglas fir for the exterior, pine for the interior, natural zinc for the roof, equipped with dry toilets, selective sorting in place for all rentals and for the farm.

Wood heating is the main mode of heating for the gîte, as well as for our home. We have equipped the gîte and the roulotte as we would for ourselves, with objects and furniture from the circular economy, except for the bedding! (recycling center, garage sale, donation and second-hand sales site...).

The wood is produced on the farm, with sustainable management for the significant linear present on the farm,

We regularly carry out reforestation plans.

We have several partnerships with different environmental organizations for the creation of habitats for wildlife (micro and macro fauna). Partnerships with AMAPs, creation of a multi-producer association to market local agricultural produce, consumption of local and seasonal produce...
