Description

Overnight stay in a horse-drawn trailer with the farm's Breton draft horses

Experience a unique immersion in the heart of the Armorican Massif in the commune of Bulat-Pestivien. Settle comfortably into the farm’s horse-drawn caravan and let yourself be lulled by the gentle breathing of the horses, free to wander right up to your window for an unforgettable wake-up.

Whether traveling alone, as a couple, or with your family, this experience is designed for those who appreciate tranquility and the great outdoors—people wishing to reconnect with what truly matters through the quiet strength of draft horses.

The locations vary with the seasons, sometimes atop a hill surrounded by rocky outcrops and gorse, with buzzards circling overhead; at other times, in a wooded valley bottom near a pond, in the company of moorhens and frogs.

Included: To get to know your overnight companions, you can spend an hour, either upon arrival or before departure (subject to the supervisor's availability), grooming the horses and taking a short ride bareback on one of them.

Ferme Ma Zadoù

This animal-powered subsistence farm serves as a venue for activities and hospitality for lovers of local culture and nature: Here, cell phone reception is poor, there’s no Wi-Fi, and we’re bringing the working horse back into everyday life. The conditions are therefore ideal for offering anyone who’s interested a rejuvenating getaway in tune with the rhythm of life, centered on simple and revitalizing pleasures.

Territory description

The Ma Zadoù farm is located in central Brittany, halfway between Guingamp and Carhaix on the crests of the Armorican Massif. Both far and near, in this green and undulating region of the Côtes d'Armor (22), the small commune of Bulat-Pestivien was once an essential stopover for merchants in transit between the port of Lorient in the south of the region and that of Morlaix in the north. The many possible walks in this rural land, full of woods, moors, springs and outcropping granite balls, are marked by a well-known and recognized architectural heritage.
