We'll be delighted to welcome you and share our farm lifestyle with you, in a spirit of simplicity, conviviality and respect for nature.

Our eco-responsible and farming commitments

Committed to respect for nature and farming values, we implement eco-responsible practices on a daily basis to preserve our environment and promote a sustainable way of life.

Manure from the farm's horses is used naturally to enrich the vegetable garden, in a way that respects the soil and the natural cycle of organic matter. We also compost to limit waste and nourish the earth naturally.

As far as possible, we give priority to local products and short circuits, working with local producers and offering seasonal produce from our region.

Through these simple, concrete gestures, we want to share a way of life that's closer to nature, respectful of resources and living things.

Territory description

Our farm is located in the heart of the Viaur valley, an unspoilt area classified Natura 2000, renowned for the exceptional richness of its biodiversity and the beauty of its natural landscapes.

Here, the Viaur river shapes a wild and authentic environment, alternating between valleys, forests, meadows and wetlands. This remarkable natural environment is home to rare and protected flora and fauna.

Among the area's emblematic species are the European otter, a discreet inhabitant of preserved rivers, and the white-clawed crayfish, a fragile species that symbolizes the quality of the Viaur's waters.

The riverbanks and wetlands are also home to remarkable vegetation, including the royal fern, a majestic plant characteristic of preserved wetlands.

The region also boasts a rich cultural and historical heritage. Home to Jean Jaurès, the emblematic figure of the Tarn region, Pampelonne boasts a museum dedicated to him. Nearby Carmaux bears witness to its mining past and the region's working-class history.

Just 30 minutes away, the medieval village of Monestiés, classified as one of France's Most Beautiful Villages, invites you to discover its heritage and charming alleyways. Cordes-sur-Ciel, the famous hilltop town, offers a journey through history in the heart of one of Occitanie's most beautiful villages.

You can also visit Najac, with its impressive fortress overlooking the Aveyron gorges, the Tanus bridge overlooking the Viaur valley, and the Espace Jean Boudou, a site dedicated to the Occitan writer deeply attached to this land.

In Lagarde-Viaur, the authentic atmosphere of the Ségala villages is also reminiscent of the land of Honoré de Balzac, who was inspired by these landscapes and this lively rural life.

With its natural heritage, working-class memories, villages with character and unspoilt landscapes, the Viaur valley offers the ideal setting to recharge your batteries and experience an authentic immersion in the heart of the Tarn and Aveyron regions.
