Le Moulin de Recours
The Moulin de Recours is a former flour mill whose milling activity ceased in the 1960s. It is a peaceful, secluded spot surrounded by nature, bordered by two rivers and bordered by forest.
Since 2017, the site has been undergoing ecological renovation and development. A renewable energy system has been installed, including solar photovoltaic and thermal panels, and wastewater is treated using a constructed wetland system.
A hospitality business has been developing for several years, offering unusual accommodations for rent and a free camping area by the river. We also welcome groups and various events. A large common room is available to everyone, with a fully equipped kitchen, a bar, a library (we lend our collection from La Hulotte!), sofas, and a tatami area for stretching, having fun, practicing jujitsu, and more. It's a friendly space where visitors to the Moulin can meet and chat, play games, or read, sheltered from the rain or heat. For groups and events, the room can be transformed into a dance floor, a concert hall, or host other activities.
Participatory workdays are sometimes organized, and Yvan also works in renovation support, focusing on thermal and energy efficiency.
Our farming activity is primarily subsistence-based: we have a large vegetable garden, a free-range chicken coop, and we regularly plant fruit trees and walnut trees to create a family orchard. We also have small plots of vines on the hillside above the mill, and we produce a simple wine that's quite drinkable (depending on the vintage!).

Territory description
The Trièves is a rural and agricultural region in the mid-mountains; it is a rolling plateau, a patchwork of forests, farmland, small villages, and rivers; surrounded by diverse mountain ranges, each with its own distinctive character: the Vercors to the west, the Dévoluy to the south, and the Écrins to the east. It is bordered to the northeast by several lakes: Lake Monteynard, Lake Saint Pierre, and Lake Sautet. Nestled between hills and mountains, on the border between the Northern and Southern Alps, the Trièves lies at the crossroads of the departments of Isère (1 hour from Grenoble), Drôme (1 hour from Die), and Hautes-Alpes (1 hour from Gap).
The Moulin de Recours and its surroundings are home to diverse flora and fauna. The Ebron and Bonson rivers, still wild, are bordered by alluvial forest and natural riparian woodland.
A stay at Le Moulin naturally invites relaxation, disconnection, leisure, and contemplation—a chance to slow down and take time to rest. But for those who wish, or once their batteries are recharged, there are numerous activities and discoveries to be made in and around the Trièves region.
From Le Moulin, many marked hiking trails are accessible, allowing you to explore the Trièves on foot, by bike, or on horseback. And beyond the Trièves, in the surrounding mountain ranges, a multitude of activities are possible: hiking, climbing, via ferrata, canyoning, rafting, horseback riding, cycling, and more.
The lakes of Monteynard, St. Pierre, and Sautet offer a wide range of water sports.
The Trièves region is vibrant culturally and in terms of community life; numerous events are organized throughout the year: concerts, theater performances, workshops, and more.
Local farmers' markets are held in the surrounding villages, in the mornings or evenings, often with entertainment. And numerous cafés and restaurants (almost at least one per village!) offer opportunities to go out for a drink and a meal, often with organized festivities, especially during the summer months.
