We're farmer-gardeners at Ferme de Manelphe, in Ambres, and we grow much more than vegetables: we also cultivate relationships, hospitality and sharing. Our way of welcoming is rooted in our daily lives, in the rhythm of the seasons and the work of the land.

For us, welcoming means opening up …

Our eco-responsible and farming commitments

Biodiversity on the farm

For many years, Manelphe's land was given over to vines and cereal monocultures. Since our arrival in 2017, we've been trying to bring back as much biodiversity as possible. To achieve this, we have chosen to ban all synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers by converting all the land to organic farming. The installation of meadows over vast areas is a key part of this revitalization drive.

We have also launched a major reforestation campaign, with the planting of several km of hedges and wooded strips, the natural reforestation of a hectare and the planting of isolated trees.

We leave nature completely free in several sanctuary areas, notably the 400m of riverbanks and a half-hectare wetland, making these stretches privileged refuge zones.

Today, we're continuing our work to restore a bocage landscape on these lands, creating a variety of habitats that allow nature to flourish, while preserving the site's agricultural vocation.
