Our welcome

Our activities and welcome at the farm

At La Petite Ferme, we invite you to discover an organic dairy sheep farm in a natural, peaceful setting. Here, everything is designed to be authentic and respectful of the living world: our ewes graze in the meadows, our hens and their chicks enjoy the open air, and our buildings blend harmoniously into the landscape.

What makes our farm special is the conviviality and direct contact with the animals. Visitors can observe the herd, understand how our cheeses are made and talk to us about our farming practices. We like to share the story of our conversion, our commitment to biodiversity and our eco-responsible approach to running the farm.

Our riches are not limited to the animals: the hedges, ponds and orchards provide a lively and colorful setting, ideal for strolling, relaxing and observing the local flora and fauna. Whether you're with family, friends or on your own, each visit is an immersive discovery of rural life, where education, pleasure and nature meet.

Come and enjoy a simple, authentic and warm moment, at the rhythm of the farm and its inhabitants.

Our educational project is based on immersion in family and farm life. Depending on their wishes and abilities, they can get involved in more specific tasks, such as milking, preparing meals or helping with the birth of lambs.

The aim is to develop autonomy, a sense of responsibility and self-confidence, while passing on the values of respect, simplicity and kindness. We tailor our care to the pace and needs of each child, combining active and quiet times to promote well-being, learning and personal development.

We can accommodate people with reduced mobility or special needs, with special arrangements and assistance if required. Groups of all sizes are welcome, and we strive to create a friendly, safe and rewarding experience for everyone.

Our aim is for all visitors, young and old, to leave with positive memories of the farm, the animals and rural life, while learning about our practices that respect the environment and animal welfare.

Accessibility

This activity is not accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM).

Accommodation

We welcome one child at a time in an individual room, located in our family home, which allows the child to benefit from a secure and calm space, while remaining integrated into the daily life of the farm.

The room is comfortable, bright and adapted to the needs of a child: bedding, storage space, space for personal activities. The farm's secluded setting offers a natural, soothing environment in which to relax and observe rural life.

AP/CIVAM partner approach

The welcome at this place is governed by a contract between the host and the social structure responsible for the welcomed person. This contract was co-written with the CIVAM network, as part of a partner approach for the structuring and development of social welcome throughout France.

Legal framework

Our business is run as a sole proprietorship (EI), which means that the farm and the social services come under a single legal structure, run by ourselves, Denis and Sophie. We don't have any specific administrative accreditation for social hosting, but we operate within the framework of the Fédération Nationale Accueil Paysan Hauts-de-France, which supports and guides us in the implementation of our hosting services.

A contract is drawn up for each placement, specifying the duration, terms and conditions, and the living environment, in order to guarantee the child's safety and well-being. The EI status enables us to combine our agricultural activities with social care, while remaining legally and financially responsible for the structure. We comply with all legal obligations relating to the accommodation and care of children, and ensure that all activities take place in a safe, supervised environment.
