My name is Laurianne, and I welcome guests to my family home, located in the heart of the countryside near Fougères.
Over the course of my life, the desire to get back to basics and live more in harmony with my values and the natural world has become increasingly important …
How to get here?
We are located in the commune of Le Loroux, in the heart of the countryside, just 10 km from Fougères, Louvigné-du-Désert, Pontmain and Montaudin, and around 45 minutes from Rennes, Vitré, Mayenne, Laval and Domfront (Orne).
The site is easily accessible via the D109, making it easy to get here by car.
It lies at the crossroads of the departments of Ille-et-Vilaine (35), Mayenne (53) and Manche (50), but is not served by public transport.
Connections are available to Fougères and Laignelet, depending on timetables.
As part of the Accueil Social program, travel assistance can be provided on an à la carte basis, according to needs and possibilities.

Anim'au Vert, educating through
We welcome guests to our home, a former farm that had been out of use for several years. Since 2017, we’ve been renovating it to create a warm and inviting space, adapting the layout as our needs and circumstances change.
Located in the countryside, the setting and the rolling hills naturally invite a sense of tranquility. The property is close to a grove and surrounded by evergreen meadows where cows graze regularly.
Our property, which we planted with hedges and an orchard as soon as we arrived, covers about one hectare. It is home to ponies, a horse, goats, poultry, a dog, and cats. Deer and other wild animals sometimes pass by the edges of the property, much to our delight.
Our life revolves around the vegetable garden, which provides us with a degree of self-sufficiency in food, and open outdoor spaces where animals, vegetation, and people coexist in a living—and sometimes experimental—balance.
We also have nearby pastures for the horses and forage production, which are close by and easily accessible—especially on foot during walks. There are also other areas to discover and explore: one borders a small wood, another a stream, and is shaded by a hedge of chestnut trees that provides us with a delicious treat in the fall.
Here, the rhythm is set by the natural world: the seasons, the crops, the animals, and the weather. The place transforms gently, shaped by daily life and the people we meet.
The whole setting offers a simple, accessible, and soothing environment, inviting you to slow down, observe, and reconnect with nature.
Everyone can find a space here to settle in, be welcomed just as they are, and take the time to move forward at their own pace.
Our eco-responsible and farming commitments
Anim’au Vert is committed to an approach that respects the environment and all living things. Our approach aims to reduce our ecological impact while promoting the self-sufficiency and resilience of the site.
Our consumption tends to be moderate, locally sourced, and mindful of its impact. We cultivate our vegetable garden and orchard by promoting biodiversity, plant companion planting, and the responsible use of natural resources.
This approach allows us to produce part of our food while constantly striving to further limit our reliance on external inputs.
The entire property is designed to coexist with animals and vegetation, respecting natural cycles as much as possible and creating a space where every element has its place. It is constantly evolving and open to improvement.
We strive to prioritize secondhand, durable, and locally sourced materials in our renovations and improvements, and we aim to repair, reuse, pass on, and compost as much as possible to reduce our waste.
Our commitment also involves raising awareness about the environment and living things, by sharing these values with everyone who comes to discover the space.
Every action aims to strengthen our connection to nature and encourage simple, practical steps toward a more eco-friendly daily life.

Territory description
Anim'au Vert is set in a rich, diverse and unspoilt rural environment, between town and country, ideal for walks, visits and cultural discoveries.
The surrounding area offers a wide range of footpaths through meadows, small woods and sunken lanes, allowing you to take full advantage of the undulating landscape.
Just 4 km away, the national forest, home to numerous megalithic monuments, offers a variety of walks and discoveries. The Chênedet leisure park, nestled in the heart of the forest, also offers relaxation and outdoor activities around its lake.
The area is close to Fougères, a fortified town and the third-largest commune in Ille-et-Vilaine, offering easy access to amenities, tourist sites such as the château, markets and a varied and dynamic cultural life all year round.
At almost the same distance, the commune of Louvigné-du-Désert, located at the gateway to three départements (Ille-et-Vilaine, Manche and Mayenne), offers access to local producers as well as a more rural community life that is just as rich and active.
You can also discover Pontmain, with its sanctuary, basilica, pilgrimage paths, contemporary art center and chapels. This commune offers a different way of exploring and inhabiting the landscape.
With its diversity and richness, the whole area lends itself to enriching and rejuvenating visits and cultural activities, in keeping with the rhythm of the countryside and its people, whatever the weather... even when the weather is more capricious - here, it's often said that there's no such thing as bad weather, only outfits to adapt to... and sometimes several seasons in the same day!
