What is mediation?

Whether because of their ancestral cohabitation with humans, their physical appearance or their calm, curious nature, contact with our big-eared friends can be a source of well-being and beneficial change for those who come into contact with them.

The public will discover the donkey, this fabulous, intelligent, soothing and sociable animal.

A wide range of activities, from a first approach to closer contact (care, grooming, hoof-cleaning, walks, trails, carrying...) are chosen according to each person's plans.

Various benefits are expected depending on the activity and purpose:

- enjoyment is paramount, but we can also develop :

- improved well-being,

- confidence in oneself, in animals and in others,

- oral, sensory, interpersonal or animal communication

- respect for instructions, animals and people,

- motor skills, mobility, sensoriality, responsibility...

. with the aim of always reinforcing the educational project of each individual.

The space

A meeting prior to the activities enables the supervisors and the hostess to define the expectations of each beneficiary.

The donkeykeeper leads the session in collaboration with the group leaders.

The 6 donkeys we can provide for the group and the activities vary in size, color and character. They are trained for contact with humans.

All grooming and walking equipment is identified and stored in the tack room adjacent to the activity site.

Part of the activity can take place in the quarry, but bad weather does not prevent sessions.

Dry toilets and a water point are available.

Each area is equipped with a withdrawal area.

A sheltered waiting area allows you to settle down before starting, to take stock, to wait or to observe from a safe distance.

We have a "escargoline", a 3-wheeled cart suitable for transferring people with limited mobility. It can be used by all, but also as a support for a group project.
