How to get here?

Gps heading for Yzorche 19320 St Bazile de la Roche.

Once in Yzorche, keep going up the hill on your left, put yourself in first gear and drive slowly, past a very sharp bend between two houses and then a grey building, watch out for the slightly dry speed bumps and continue on the path towards the forest, we're a little higher up, you'll see the parking lot on your left opposite the house.

My structure

"When you reach the very end of the path, here, above the houses of Yzorche, time takes on a different rhythm. This place is not just a vacation spot; it is our life’s work, a haven of biodiversity that we maintain, protect, and build with our own hands every day, with respect and humility—for us, for you, and for generations to come.”

A warm welcome:

For us, welcoming you isn’t just about handing you the keys to a cabin or a yurt. It’s a genuine invitation to step into our world: an outstretched hand toward disconnection, a moment of reconnecting with yourself and with life, a pause suspended in silence.

Whether it’s sharing the benefits of an aromatherapy treatment, introducing you to our medicinal gardens, guiding you on a forest bath, or preparing a colorful vegetarian meal sprinkled with our edible flowers, every gesture is thought out with intention and kindness. We dedicate our passion as artisans of the earth, wood, and the senses to your renewal.

Become an active participant in our living environment:

When you stay at Les Jardins d’Yzorche, you cease to be mere observers and become an integral part of our ecosystem. Nature is a delicate balance where each element cares for the other. Coming here means choosing to slow down, breathe, and leave a gentle footprint on the living world. It’s a conscious choice that lies at the heart of a virtuous cycle, where your very presence actively contributes to the preservation and regeneration of this environment.

Surrounded by trees and ferns, the hilltop home is home to our house (a renovated barn), a workshop barn, our two guest accommodations (a yurt and a cabin), a greenhouse, a treatment cabin, a medicinal garden, and its drying and processing workshop. The whole place is lulled by birdsong and the buzzing of insects, not to mention our animals: Planche and Milo the dogs, Rosalie and Valentin the donkeys, as well as our three cats, Awa, Baleine, and Brindille.

Our eco-responsible and farming commitments

We created the main garden on a mound, in a former overgrown meadow of around 2000m2. It is shaped like a sun and radiates a multitude of scents and colors. Surrounded by 3 hectares of unspoilt nature conducive to biodiversity, we live in the heart of a tamed forest, where the songs of birds, deer, insects and other forest animals reign supreme.

All our seedlings and cuttings in our greenhouse. The question of sustainable agriculture that respects the living world is not even a question, it's right there in front of us! We use no chemicals or fertilizers. We mulch with plants gleaned locally, grass clippings, ferns, dead leaves and so on. We use reproducible, self-produced organic seeds. All our growing and harvesting plots are certified by Ecocert. The range of products is co-created with nature, in limited quantities to guarantee exceptional quality, and is sold on site, on the custom circuit and on the online boutique.

For our accommodation, we use as eco-friendly materials as possible, recycling, reclaiming and transforming them. We do our best to strike a balance between eco-responsible sustainable development, the fast-paced world and our finances.

The site requires a personal, physical and financial investment that is not always easy to balance, as we are well aware of the fragility of our ecosystem. Our different activities form a whole, and one would not be viable without the other.

The Dordogne Valley offers a variety of lovely places to visit, including forest hikes, waterfalls, water activities, swimming, canoeing, and more. Located halfway between the Dordogne River and its lakes, ponds, waterfalls, and tourist attractions, these destinations are at least a 30-minute drive from our location. https://www.vallee-dordogne.com/

Far from it all, the nearest town with shops is Argentat-sur-Dordogne, 12 km away.

For a complete escape without taking the car, you can take a walk along the paths through meadows, forests, and country roads. We also offer flower-inspired meals, relaxing aromatherapy and vibrational treatments, forest bathing, and sensory and aromatherapy workshops centered on the fragrant, aromatic, and medicinal plants found in our scented gardens.
