How to get here?

In the village of Fleuriel, starting from the church, walk past the village vineyards across from the school, continue straight ahead until you reach the wayside shrine, then take the Chemin de la Bougalerie downhill. Park in front of the garage—there’s a picture of a donkey on the gate. You’ve arrived!

With the donkeys (including a few Bourbonnais donkeys) to explore the vineyards, this is more than just an overnight stay—it’s a chance to discover a different way of experiencing tourism, at the donkey’s pace, to better appreciate our rolling landscapes and savor our wines, aged with authentic Bourbonnais expertise.

I chose to join Accueil Paysan because it is a network that upholds my values: small-scale, local farming.

Here, we practice organic farming, use dry toilets, preserve our environment, and work with nature, following the seasons and the cycles of life.

At the guest table, you’ll find vegetables and fruits from the garden or dishes made with local ingredients. The flour we use is made from organic wheat grown 7 km from the farm, as are the wines and beer. The honey is harvested from hives located at the far end of the donkey pasture.

Here we sort our waste, minimize packaging, and seek ways to improve our practices.
