Children's stay in the countryside, in a family setting

The children's gîte is open during school vacations.

The farm, the countryside and the forest are fabulous places for adventure, curiosity and discovery for children, moments of sharing and living at the rhythms of the animals, with respect and difference for the children welcomed.

Activities: animal care, forest walks, huts, nature observation, vegetable gardening, cooking, outdoor games, arts and crafts, cultural outings, etc.

La Motte farm is located in the Normandy bocage in the heart of the Cerisy forest, on the border between Manche and Calvados, between Bayeux and Saint Lo.

The spacious is spacious, with a large living room on the first floor, featuring a kitchen, lounge/dining room, shower room and separate toilet.

Upstairs are a bathroom and five bedrooms, two of which are suitable for children (not mixed).

The exterior is divided into several areas, including a wooded zone, a small pond, a garden, a vegetable garden and two meadows adjoining the house where the animals are kept.

Restauration impossible

Meals are family-style, cooked with local produce and vegetables from the garden. Everything is homemade.

Educational project

Passing on, sharing and discovering daily life on the farm, living to the rhythm of the animals in the heart of the countryside and forest. Raise children's awareness of nature and gradually encourage them to behave in a way that respects the natural environment.

This vacation must be a time when children can take part in unusual activities.

Leisure and discovery are priorities during this stay at the farm, as are rest, relaxation, fun, sharing and living together.

The children will live our daily lives, and we'll do everything we can to make sure they feel at ease during their vacation.

At the start of the stay, we'll discuss the week's program, so that together we can choose the various activities and outings the family will be offering (depending on the season).

Applications for stays can be made by parents, institutions or organizations responsible for the socio-educational follow-up of children.

It is recommended that the child adheres to the welcome project and has an interest in discovering nature and animals.
