Overnight accommodation, with free use of the gîte's facilities without them being exclusively reserved.
The relay mode is particularly suited to hikers and pilgrims on foot, on horseback, by bike or even by car.
This is the primary vocation of the site, which offers a collective room (5 beds / 4 beds / sheets provided) on the first floor, and sanitary and kitchen facilities on the first floor.
For riders and drivers, there's a private tack room, a shower for horses, paddocks and hay.
Breakfast supplies are provided, the evening meal can be taken at the host's home, and a snack can be arranged for the following day.
In winter, heating is charged extra at cost.

How to get here?
From the N79: exit at Navour-sur-Grosne towards Matour (D987), then 1st right towards Montagny-sur-Grosne, then 1st left towards Ouilly. The road climbs up to a monumental gate; turn left in the direction of Trambly, and after just 10 m, turn right onto the "chemin de la forêt d'Ouilly" which climbs up into the forest along the wall of a park; it leads to a vast clearing where our house is located: we'll be delighted to welcome you there and accompany you to the gîte, 300 m further on.
Please note: GPS systems are likely to lose you in the forest, or lead you round it!
The TGV station can be reached in 25 minutes via the N79. We can pick you up there on request (max 4 people).

The chestnut-trees lodging
In an ancient farmhouse partly restored in the heart of the forest the growth of which we accompany since 3 generations, we receive travellers, pilgrims or ramblers (5 beds, 2 showers, kitchen). Horses have shower, locked saddlery, paddocks and working arena. We can take pilgrims on their road and bring them back. Welcome in lodging or camping.
Territory description
In southern Burgondy, between vineyards (burgondy and beaujolais), and Charollais' rich pastures. By car : 3' from N79 road, 15' from Cluny, 25' from TGV station of Mâcon-Loché, 3/4 h from Lyon.
