Come and discover our gîte "La maison d'en Haut" for 10/12 people, located in a characterful mountain hamlet.
The "La maison d'en Haut" guesthouse is a simple renovation of an old stone stable (which is sort of our mountain retreat), located on the hills above our little hamlet. It offers views of the surrounding mountains, including the Col de Villauret... and a superb panorama for stargazing. For a truly peaceful and nature-filled vacation!
Located 150 meters from the farmhouse and the parking lot, it’s accessible by car via a dirt road (some cars can’t make the climb) and/or on foot; a shorter trail is also available starting from the farmhouse.
We can bring your luggage up on the day of your arrival and take it back down on your departure in a 4x4.
"La Maison d'en Haut" offers a very large private outdoor area with both shade and sun;
On the ground floor: dining room, kitchenette, and covered patio;
Upstairs: 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms/toilets.
The “Aujour” bedroom for 3 people: 2 90-cm beds pushed together and a 90-cm bed on a mezzanine.
The “Clausonnette” bedroom for 2–4 people: 2 90-wide bunk beds and a sofa bed.
The “Col de Villauret” room for 3 people: 1 140-bed and a 90-bed on a mezzanine.
The “Oule” room for 3 people: 1 90-wide bed and 2 90-wide beds on a 9 m² mezzanine, accessible on all fours via a ladder.
Please note: this cottage is not suitable for people with limited mobility!
- Shared outdoor area with our family, for children: playground equipment… this area is under the responsibility and supervision of parents (and in compliance with playground safety standards) and requires the cooperation of everyone.
- Pony farm on-site,

How to get here?
From the south (Marseille, Aix...), freeway exit: Sisteron nord, then Laragne, Serres, then direction Veynes at Pont de Chabestan, turn right on the bridge, follow Chabestan, then Le Saix, go through the village, at the exit turn left after the small stone bridge, climb 2kms, you've arrived!
Coming from Grenoble, follow Aspres sur Buech, at the end of the village turn left at the roundabout towards Veynes, at the crossroads turn right towards Serres, at the place called Pont de Chabestan, turn right over the bridge, follow Chabestan, then Le Saix, cross the village, at the exit turn left after the small stone bridge, climb 2kms, You've arrived!

THE HAMLET OF VILLAURET
Welcome to our little hamlet of Villauret, a mountain hamlet at an elevation of 1,000 meters nestled in the heart of the Baronnies Provençales Regional Nature Park. Our total capacity is 25–27 people.
“Le Corps de Ferme” consists of 3 adjoining but separate vacation rentals (total capacity of the 3 rentals: 15 people):
Option to rent the entire “farmhouse,” including all three cottages plus the vaulted room (kitchen/dining room for 15–20 people)
The “Le Pounti” cottage (2–6 people) features a living/dining room, kitchen, toilet, bathroom, and 3 bedrooms.
The “La Grange” cottage (2–5 people): dining room/kitchen, toilet, shower room, and 2 bedrooms.
"P'tit Gîte" (2–4 people): entryway, dining room/kitchen (with sofa bed), bathroom/toilet, 1 bedroom.
"La Maison d'en Haut" , a standalone cottage located 150 meters from the farmhouse (8–10 adults):
4 bedrooms (Bedroom 1 for 3 people, Bedroom 2 for 2–4 people, Bedroom 3 for 3 people, and Bedroom 4 for 1 person + 2 on the mezzanine), 2 bathrooms, kitchenette, dining room, and covered terrace.
Please note! Access is via a trail that climbs up from the farmhouse (a 150-meter shortcut) or via a forest road-type track (not all cars can make the climb), so the parking lot is 150 meters from the cottage.
Option to rent the entire “Hameau de Villauret” complex for 25–27 people,
the 4 cottages + the vaulted room (kitchen/dining area for everyone)
All our rentals feature a large outdoor area.
Farmhouse-style dining: dishes made with local and/or organic ingredients, all homemade; set menu (appetizer, main course, dessert)
- Shared outdoor area, with games available upon request: this space is under the supervision of parents and relies on everyone’s cooperation.

Between mountains and Provence at 1000 meters above sea level, in the regional natural Park of the baronies Provençales, on the GR94, our small hamlet lies at the foot of the pastures where our ponies graze in the beautiful season, quiet, for a simple and authentic holiday
