The gite de liou is a signatory of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism and is labeled Esprit National Park of the Cévennes, commitment to the preservation of exceptional territories in French national parks. Notre structure bénéficie également du label RICE Réserve Internationale de Ciel Étoilé. Nous avons supprimé l'éclairage public, permettant ainsi l'observation des ciels nocturnes directement autour du gite aux différentes période propices de l'année.

GÎTE de LIOU

the gite de liou is surrounded by terraced gardens, chestnut forests, holm oaks, firs and moorlands with broom and heather; it is a mid-mountain landscape crossed by small streams and wild rivers. The area is suitable for hiking and observing protected fauna and flora. The cottage is located in an old stone barn eco-renovated, quiet haven out of time at night, classified 4 stars, well equipped, cozy and bright with a view of the mountain.

Territory description

The gite is at an altitude of 720 m in the Cévennes, below the watershed of the Mediterranean slope. Located at the top of the D29, near the small corniche of the Cévennes between the D35 and the N106. Alès is 50 km to the south, Florac 35 km to the northwest. Nearest sites: Pleines Cévennes, Mont-Lozère, Causses and gorges du Tarn.
