The small independent gîte

As a rural actress, Marie-Annette teaches yoga, welcomes guests for healing stays, cultivates the vegetable garden, makes breakfast jams and cooks organic vegetarian meals... The house welcomes you in country-style rooms with a mini kitchenette in the shared living room, available in the evenings. Although based on the structure of a former farm, agricultural life is now limited to the cultivation of walnut trees and a few pet sheep in the grounds. The former tobacco drying shed has been converted into a "yoga room", where small groups can take part in workshops. Ecology is present in wastewater treatment, renovation materials, etc. The guest house is available as a self-contained gîte, as is the small adjoining cottage.

We're located on the heights of the Dordogne, in a quiet hamlet halfway between Bergerac and Sarlat, at the gateway to prehistory and the Vézère valley (Lascaux 45mn away). This is also the land of fortified castles, with numerous medieval villages (bastide of Montpazier 20mn). From the house, hiking trails and forest are accessible on the hillside, while the river for swimming and canoeing is 2km below the village. In season, night markets liven up the evenings, while the gîte's garden welcomes you in its tranquility. The local yoga classes are open to you at all times, so welcome to "le Gite du Soi", a place to recharge your batteries.
