Ecogîte Piquemouche

The price of peace and quiet is that a vehicle is required to stay at Piquemouche... We're located in the south-west of the Centre-Val de Loire region, a good hour south of Tours and north-east of Poitiers, between the Chatellerault and Chateauroux freeways and railway stations. With the exception of a Preuilly-sur-Claise/Loches/Tours bus, we are unfortunately not served by public transport.

Piquemouche is an old name for tits and a locality in the beautiful wooded, rolling countryside of southern Touraine. Our little hamlet comprises 4 buildings: our house, the gîte, our business space and a pretty barn. Its location on the shoulder of a hill at the end of a road offers 360° views and peace and quiet. In addition to our aromatic and medicinal plant activity, we maintain the site to encourage maximum biodiversity (ponds, hedges, nest boxes, coppices, etc.).

The location and region lend themselves perfectly to a vacation combining nature, heritage and gastronomy in simplicity. Beautifully undulating, Sud Touraine is renowned for the beauty of its bucolic landscapes and the richness of its heritage. The mosaic of fields, meadows, forests and rivers is home to many charming villages, and castles lurk in every corner. You'll also find markets and a wide variety of artisanal products to tempt your taste buds.
