Description

Gite in the heart of the Parc du Pilat, in a quiet location near numerous trails, cycle paths and children's play areas

Annie and Pierre retired from farming, GAEC farm (3 to 5 partners), dairy cows then Aubrac beef cattle, organically farmed, cut up and sold direct, and pigs farmed for charcuterie and direct sales (farm, market and producers' store). We have always been members of the Confédération Paysanne, with whom we share the values of "Agriculture Paysanne", which is based on respect for the environment, quality production directly linked to health, and preservation of the social fabric. So it was only natural that, when the gîte was created in 1997, we joined the "Accueil Paysan" network, which promotes welcoming and exchanges, and contributes to a diversified, supportive, ecological and lively rural world.

We like to welcome, discuss and share with you, if you wish, in all simplicity and conviviality.

Annie and Pierre, retired from farming. After a lifetime or so on a GAEC farm, raising organic Aubrac cattle for direct sale, and raising pigs for charcuterie for direct sale at the farm, market and producer's store.

How to get here?

Access by public transport from Lyon, Saint Etienne, or Annonay , train and bus line L17, to Bourg Argental located 8 km from the gite. Then, in Bourg Argental, we can pick you up or use "Mon TAD" (transport on demand) 04 8000 7000, with free connections to lines 17 and 14.

Territory description

Altitude 800m. In the Pilat Regional Nature Park, 25km south of St-Étienne, on the border between the Ardèche and Haute-Loire departments. Numerous marked trails for hikers and mountain bikers.

Children's playground, pumptrack, city park, tirolienne, swings.... close to the gite.
