Description

El Manau is a small campsite in the mountains, next to a small river and at the entrance of the Nohèdes nature reserve.

At El Manau you can camp, rent a yurt for a bit more comfort, or stay in your campervan.

It is a small facility for a maximum of 20 people and the welcome is very friendly.

The sanitary facilities are clean and very pleasant, and there is an equipped kitchen for our visitors.

About us

Nele Vandermeulen and Michel Gougeon

Has been welcoming since 2008.

Spoken languages:

Michel was born near Nantes (Loire-Atlantique). Already at age 7 he wanted to be a shepherd. After his agricultural studies, at 20 Michel arrived in the Pyrénees Oriental where he worked with a shepherd to learn his profession.

How to get here?

To access our small campsite:

Go up from Prades to Nohèdes, our village. Don't forget to do your shopping before heading up, there are no stores here.

Once in Nohèdes village, continue straight ahead, even if it says dead end.

Follow the road; there are arrows to guide you.

The campsite is accessible for cars and campervans, for motorhomes it's a bit tight...

CAMPING EL MANAU

We are retired sheep farmers.

We offer you our campsite, near the river. You will live close to nature in a yurt or in your tent. Warm and friendly welcome, a place of wonder for children! Our sanitary facilities and summer kitchen are pleasant and well equipped.
