In short
Description
Pleasant little cottage
We set up our gîte in the lean-to of the large barn. It's not big, but everything's inside and there's a terrace. There are two 80x190 beds downstairs and a double bed on the mezzanine. There are toilets in the gîte, but you can take a shower in the campsite toilets.

How to get here?
at Bordessoule on the D940, take the D3 towards Tercillat. Continue towards Tercillat (do not take the road to La Cellette). When you reach St. Paul, turn right. Our house is the last house on the right, with a sculpture near the entrance.

Discover our welcome place and our territory
L'EGLANTIER
L'églantier is located in Puissetier, a small hamlet in north Creuse at the foot of the Massif Central. The old farmhouse is surrounded by woods, meadows and hiking trails. We welcome you with your tent or caravan. Choose your pitch on our 2-hectare plot, with sunny and shady pitches thanks to our ancient oak trees. You can also rent our gîte or a tent. We have good sanitary facilities and some pitches have electricity. The campsite is child-friendly. The traditional barn is partly available for campers, while other parts of the buildings are used as a painting studio and a sculpture/stone-cutting workshop.
Territory description
The landscape is undulating and full of surprises. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking, alternating between woods, streams and meadows. The Creuse is dotted with small hamlets with their own local heritage. There's plenty of opportunity for swimming, with lakes 10 and 12 km away. The beaches on the Creuse are a little further away (25 km), but can easily be combined with a nice walk or shopping trip. Canoes are available for hire at several locations. Rain or shine, we recommend a visit to Aubusson and its tapestry museum. Another place to visit is Crozant and the valley of the painters: wild nature on the banks of the Creuse, the museum (Crozant school) and the gardens of La Sédelle. To the north, there's the pretty town of La Châtre, with George Sand's museum at Nouhant.
