Our eco-responsible and farming commitments

Since 1990, our farm has been committed to a more self-sufficient mode of production. To achieve this, we have lengthened our crop rotations, eliminated corn, and favored plant associations: meslin, multi-species meadows. We have also planted km of hedges, to recreate islands of crops surrounded by these young hedges. Apple and chestnut trees have been planted as orchards, and old fruit trees have been renovated. Compost has become our sole fertilizer.

How to get here?

The farm is located 3 km from Najac in western Aveyron, at an elevation of 400 meters. The rolling landscape is carved by two rivers, the Aveyron and the Viaur. Access is via the D922 from Villefranche-de-Rouergue or Cordes, then via the D39 from La Fouillade or Najac. There is an SNCF train station in Najac.

The farm is accessible from the villages of La Fouillade or Najac, 3 km away, via the D39 (signs are visible along the departmental road).

FERME DU MARIGOT

The Marigot Farm has been an organic dairy farm since 1994. It practices activist farming. It has diversified by offering tours and direct sales of apple juice, pasta, processed chestnuts, and canola oil.Three partners share the work and live on the property; Francis and Véronique, now retired, take care of the guests and also live on site.
