Thirty years ago, we left the city, bought some dilapidated buildings with a small plot of land, and embarked on a rural adventure without any training or subsidies. A life that respects nature and rejects the excesses of today’s world.
The garden is a mix of fruit trees, vegetables, flowers, and medicinal plants. There’s a small backyard with laying hens.
The meals served at our table d’hôte are made largely with ingredients from the garden. Ger, my partner, is an organic farmer and baker. We have the Astrié brothers’ mill on site, and the bread is baked three times a week in our wood-fired oven. It’s a simple, quiet life.

METAL MAURYA AND ACHTEN GER
Organic farm in Campuac, 20km from our home. We grow wheat, rye and lentils. Here in Montignac we have the Moulin Astrié with granite millstones to make flour. Flour milling and bread-making (130 kg/week) take place close to the B&B, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, baked in an old wood-fired oven in the garden. We have a large vegetable garden and backyard, and fruit trees in Montignac. We live a bit like grandmothers used to, making preserves, jams, terrines, and a lovely table garnished with the season's produce from the garden and the surrounding area.
Territory description
260m high, on the neighbouring hill of Conques. Below, the Dourdou valley. Rodez 40 minutes away. The road to Montignac is 1km before Conques, on the right coming from Rodez. Hamlet (stone houses with slate roofs) near a small church. Parking next to the house, place de l'église.

Emplacements de tente sont ombragés (terrasses sous les arbres ou au bord de l'étang). Le bloc sanitaire (cuisine équipée, 2 douches) est commun. 2 toilettes sèches communes. Il est possible d'acheter nos produits de la ferme labellisés Nature & Progrès (légumes, œufs, confitures). Petit déjeuner ou repas du soir (végétarien) sur réservation. Nous avons à cœur de partager nos valeurs de respect de l'environnement (économiser l'eau, utiliser des produits biodégradables, trier ses déchets...)

Tente safari
La ferme est située dans un hameau de 3 habitations. La tente safari est isolée dans une forêt de châtaignier à 60m des habitations, donc en immersion "pleine nature". Le bloc sanitaire (coin cuisine, frigo, douches et électricité) est à 30m de la tente. Celle-ci dispose de toilettes sèches à proximité. Table de pique-nique, hamac et salon de jardin africain devant la tente.
