Coteaux du Val de Sorne Estate
A family that has lived in the village since the 15th century; winegrowers; a bed-and-breakfast established in 1994 by parents who have been consumers of organic products since 1963, featuring an art gallery that has been converted into a wine cellar.
Territory description
A wine-growing village nestled in a remote corner of the Jura’s Revermont region near the source of the Sorne River, featuring 17th-, 18th-, and 19th-century winegrowers’ houses. A site with a rich history of wine production for the Abbey of Saint-Claude, traces of which remain in the church—designated a Historic Monument—and in the calvaries, including one dating from 1550, as well as old paths, a Roman road, and castle ruins.
